The center at PBU holds. Every college or university education is centered on something. - A philosophy, a world view, a set of core beliefs. Choosing a school that has the right things at the center will make all the difference. At PBU we are intentional about keeping Jesus Christ and the Word of God at the center of all we do, from the curriculum, to co-curricular activities to student ministries and campus activities like the arts and athletics. The academic programs at PBU are challenging and diverse. At first glance PBU academic offerings may appear limited. But if you look closely you will see over 50 programs and a broad range of spiritual and intellectual opportunities to form the skills, and habits and worldview necessary to live out your faith and succeed at your work. Every student earns a degree in Bible and many students earn another degree in a variety of fields. The programs here are diverse and rigorous. You will be challenged.

Students are prepared well. Because of the way we do what we do, our students stand out. And they are sought out. Employers, graduate schools, and ministries seek PBU graduates because they are living examples of our mission statement. Our graduates are making a difference. Quality teaching, the personal investment of faculty, and a clear sense of purpose.

There is a higher calling that must be pursued. If our students earned degrees and simply went out to work with no view of God’s purposes and no sense of the importance of their life lived well, we would be wasting our time. Being a Christian is more than that. We want our students to be inspired to live an intentional life of obedient service to Christ. We teach the Bible and all other subjects in view of its teaching. That is inspiring. And our professors care about and know their students. They are examples to them and invest in them and guide them.

Involved

Dynamic campus life and opportunities to practice what is learned.

Involvement is key at PBU. The best way to practice what you learn is to do. And PBU students do. Not just after graduation but while they’re here. There are many opportunities for students to be involved in the University, the community, and one another’s lives. Student groups, performing arts, athletics, mission trips, service projects, campus events, professional program activities, conferences, and clubs provide for a dynamic campus life that enriches the total PBU experience. We believe Christians need to be strategically engaged with the world. You cannot do that if you do not get involved.
