M.S. in Christian Counseling

Graduate Degree

The M.S. in Christian Counseling Program is designed to thoroughly equip individuals to integrate biblical teaching and their faith with the professional standards and practices in their counseling field of choice.

The training in the program is based the centrality of Christ in psychological health, the authority of the Bible, the importance of relationships, and the indispensible role of suffering in our lives as Christians.

PBU’s structure of core lecture courses paired with cohort lab experiences gives students the opportunity to develop clinical skills while building deep relationships in biblical community and undergoing personal transformation and growth into maturity as a whole person.  The program’s 60-credit option provides students with the preparation needed to be eligible for professional licensure, and PBU’s Oasis Counseling Center may provide opportunity for on-campus internships.

Graduates of the program have gone on to serve in counseling roles professionally and in lay roles in society and in the church.
