Chamber Singers 8-12 members Directed by Dr. David Shockey
Select choral ensemble made up primarily of music majors who are joined by students from across the university. Repertoire includes sacred and secular music from various periods, primarily classical and predominantly a cappella. Booking Availability: Mid-Nov. to early Dec. and Feb. to April
Chorale Approx. 40 members Directed by Dr. David Shockey
Concert choir. Repertoire includes sacred choral music from the Renaissance to the 21st century – both accompanied and unaccompanied. Among the featured selections will be some of the great choral classics, spirituals and hymn settings. The singers represent students from across the university who pass the Fall semester audition.

PBU Community Chorus Directed by Guest Conductor: Mr. Devin Mariman
Membership open to the public. Performing Shout for Joy- a concert of music from the African-American experience including a special appearance of faculty voice instructor, Ruth Naomi Floyd, performing with the choir, and presenting some of her own sacred jazz works. Music from the Chorus will include: Concert settings of African-American Spirituals Selections from Gospel Mass by Robert Ray Shout for Joy by Adolphus Hailstork with brass, timpani and organ.

Chamber Ensembles 3-8 members Directed by Various Faculty
Multiple groups (string trios, piano quartets, brass quartets, and woodwind quintets as available). Repertoire includes standard chamber pieces with possible sacred selections upon request. These ensembles travel together presenting varietal concerts that continually engage listeners. School concerts could additionally provide musical collaboration with your students to help bolster musicianship and involvement.
Handbell Choir 10-15 members Directed by Mr. Kenneth Borrmann
Five-octave handbell choir with four-octave choir chimes. Classical and sacred arrangements for handbell choir; suitable for worship services or concerts. Booking Availability: Late fall and Feb. to May
PentaVoce 5 members Directed by Mr. Joseph Caminiti
PBU's faculty woodwind quintet performs a variety of concert and sacred music in churches, schools, and other venues. Church involvement includes playing with congregational singing and choirs, as well as service music. School and concert performances provide a variety of musical styles along with much audience interaction. PentaVoce enjoys a warm relationship with its audiences and looks forward to meeting you! A mixed vocal and instrumental ensemble which leads contemporary worship for PBU chapels and occasionally for local congregations.
Crimson Call 8-11 members Directed by Dr. Paul Isensee
Mixed or women’s vocalists with instrumentalists who perform contemporary Christian music with Praise and Worship selections for congregational participation. Suitable for church services, concerts, Christian school chapels and special events. Booking Availability: February to May
Jazz Ensemble 6-11 members Directed by Mr. Joe Hesh
An eclectic ensemble including guitar, bass, piano, vocalists and solo instrumentalists who combine to deliver an energetic, Jazz-infused musical experience. Repertoire includes Jazz standards, Christian Contemporary and Gospel. Adapts concert and worship material to fit experience.

Laudate 5-7 members Directed by Mr. Kenneth Borrmann
A mixture of solo instrumentalists, pianists, and vocalists who combine to present avaried program of sacred and classical music, reflecting both the academic and ministryemphases of the School of Music and Performing Arts. Laudate focuses on ministeringin Christian schools. Available for masterclasses, chapels, half or full day events.

Early Music Workshop Directed by Mrs. Jacqueline H. Smith An ensemble for the study of Renaissance and early Baroque music and performance practice concluding with a public concert. Opera Workshop Directed by Mr. Steven Condy This organization presents multiple performances each year: in the Fall semester, an operetta or a collection of opera scenes; in the Spring semester, a Broadway-styled musical. As an educational experience, the ensemble introduces students to the world of opera and musical theater, giving attention to dramatic movement, emotional interpretation, staging principles, scenery, props, costumes, makeup and lighting.
