University Ministry Center

A PBU education is an integrated experience, cultivating in students the pursuit of wisdom and strategic cultural engagement that accompanies academic study.  The University Ministry Center provides a variety of distinct avenues of spiritual growth, including committed Christian service to the surrounding community and abroad.

The ministry center plans chapel services and oversees student ministry opportunities, spiritual formation and integration, short-term mission trips, and volunteer opportunities.

Chapel

chapel

Chapel services at the university provide a time and place for a central expression of our worship and identity as an academic community of believers with a deep commitment to Christ.

Students join together on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10:00 a.m. in the Chatlos Chapel.  Each semester, the University Ministry Center organizes new chapel topics, inviting guest speakers, authors, musicians, and pastors from the area.

University Chaplains

Student Chaplains provide spiritual leadership to the student body through example, dialogue, and intentional service to the university community.  Chaplains are selected by Student Life and meet regularly to discuss and coordinate spiritual formation events and chapel services.

Student Ministries

All traditional undergraduate students participate in the Student Ministries Program, providing an opportunity to apply learning to real situations and real people in need of the love of Christ.  Your ministry will help you engage with the culture in which you have been called to serve.

"He is and always has been a blessing to our church.  God has given him the heart of a servant and that is evident by his “get it done” attitude.  He has been given the role of Deacon this past summer and is doing an incredible job."
—Bobby Houston III, Grace Community Church

Ministry Opportunity Week

One purpose of the University Ministry Center at Philadelphia Biblical University is to help our students connect with local churches and ministries in the area.  It is our desire to partner with you as you serve to reach others with the good news of Jesus Christ.  At the beginning of each academic year (fall semester only), we sponsor ministry opportunity days on campus. Mission Trips

At Philadelphia Biblical University, students have many opportunities to engage with the world around them and serve the people they meet.  Through mission trips, students impact individuals and communities both in the United States and around the world.
