Expectations and Experiences
|
For some, it is the place where students “find” themselves. For others, it is a place where students find someone else: a lifelong friend, a career-long mentor, a spouse. It is the place where many get exactly what they expected to receive: a degree. But many other people experience various things they didn’t plan for, or even expect – some good, some bad. At PBU, we want you to know such varied outcomes may have to do with the way families choose an institution for their students. Were they intentional? Did they measure potential schools based upon their students’ needs, interests, and expectations? At the end of the road – which for some means graduation, for others transfer or dropping out altogether – many students find they could have gained so much more if they had intentionally chosen a school based on the experience they were seeking. |

A college education means something different to everyone who has ever been a student of or sent a student to an institution of higher learning.
